Shampoo Bars
We produce our shampoo bars using plant-based ingredients. The surfactants - such as SCI, SCS and SLSA - are derived from coconut and palm oil.
The outermost layer of our hair, known as the cuticle, is structured like roof tiles. Whether the hair is shiny and easy to comb depends on how flat the cuticle lies.
So-called hair soaps have an alkaline pH value (= acidity level) and open up this cuticle layer. Liquid shampoos also roughen the surface of the hair. The hair becomes tangled and difficult to comb. This makes follow-up treatment with an acidic rinse or conditioner necessary.
We produce our shampoo bars with a pH value of 4.5–4.8, which corresponds to the natural acidity of the hair and scalp. The hair’s cuticle lies flat. To further smooth the hair’s surface, we add broccoli seed oil or BTMS (a type of wax derived from vegetable oils), which act as natural conditioners.
All our shampoo bars contain rosemary essential oil and rosemary extract. Rosemary promotes blood circulation in the scalp and stimulates the hair follicles. This encourages hair growth and makes the hair stronger.
In addition, our shampoo bars contain nourishing ingredients for the hair and scalp that are tailored to the respective hair type.
